Payment Methods
Last updated:
Paying for your kit should be the easy part of the order. This page explains how payment works at Jersey Loft: which methods you can use, the currency we price in, when you pay, how personalisation add-ons and larger sizes show up in the total, what to do if a payment does not go through and how refunds come back to you. It applies to every order on jerseyloft.shop. If you have a payment question, email support@jerseyloft.shop and we reply within 24 hours on business days.
Payments in brief
- Methods: the payment methods shown at checkout are the ones available for your order.
- Currency: all prices are in US dollars.
- Shipping: free on every order to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so the checkout total has no shipping charge.
- Add-ons: 2XL-4XL jerseys cost a little more, and the sleeve number add-on is charged only when you tick it.
- Refunds: issued within 7 days of receiving your return, to your original payment method.
- Store credit: available on request and never expires.
How you can pay
The payment methods available for your order are shown on the checkout page, after you have entered your contact and shipping details and before you confirm the order. Whatever appears there is what you can use; we do not accept payment through any other route. We do not take payments by email, by message, by bank transfer arranged over email, or in cash.
Why we do not list brands here
The options offered at checkout can change over time, and we would rather send you to the place that is always accurate than keep a list on this page that might fall out of date. If you want to know before you shop whether a particular way of paying is available, email us and we will tell you what checkout currently offers.
If you do not see a method you expected
Payment options can depend on your shipping country and on your browser. If checkout does not show the option you hoped for, try refreshing the page, switching to another browser or turning off a content blocker for the checkout page. If it still does not appear, contact us and we will help.
Prices, currency and what makes up your total
Every price on jerseyloft.shop is shown in US dollars. If you live in Canada, Australia or New Zealand, or your card is issued in another currency, your bank or payment provider converts the amount when you pay. The exchange rate and any foreign transaction fee are set by them, not by us, so the amount on your statement can differ slightly from a conversion you did yourself.
| Line in your cart | When it applies | How it is shown |
|---|---|---|
| Item price | Every item | Shown on the product page and in the cart for the size and options you chose |
| Larger adult sizes | Jerseys in 2XL, 3XL and 4XL | A slightly higher price appears as soon as you select one of those sizes |
| Sleeve number | Adult custom jersey, only when “Number on the sleeve too” is ticked | The add-on price is shown next to the tick box and added to that item |
| Name, number, lettering colour, crest initials and shape | Personalised products | Typing your name, number or initials does not add a separate charge unless an add-on price is shown beside the field |
| Shipping | Every order to the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand | Free, with no minimum and no code |
Before you confirm the order, the checkout page shows each item with its options and the order total. Take a moment to check it, especially the size and any personalisation lines, because those details also decide what gets printed.
When your payment is taken
You pay when you place your order at checkout. Once the payment is confirmed, your order moves into its 1-3 business day preparation, and you receive an order confirmation email with your order number. An order is not prepared until payment has gone through; if a payment is still pending, the order waits and nothing is printed.
A worked example
A five-a-side player buys an Adult L Custom Name and Number jersey with “Number on the sleeve too” ticked, plus a cuffed beanie. The checkout shows the jersey price, the sleeve number add-on, the beanie price and free shipping, and the player pays that total when placing the order. Six hours later they email us to switch to an XL, which is inside the 24-hour change window. If the new size carries a different price, for example a move up to 2XL, we tell them the difference first and only go ahead once they agree. If the price is the same, nothing changes on the payment.
Changes, cancellations and partial refunds
You can cancel or change an order within 24 hours of placing it by emailing us; see Cancel or Change an Order. When a change affects the price, we explain the difference before anything is charged. If a change lowers the price, or you cancel one item from a larger order, we refund that amount to your original payment method. A cancelled order is refunded in full, and your payment provider decides how long it takes to appear on your statement.
If a payment does not go through
A declined or failed payment is usually fixed in a couple of minutes. Common causes include:
- a billing address or postcode that does not match what your bank or payment account has on file;
- an expired card, or a mistyped number, expiry date or security code;
- a daily spending limit or not enough available balance;
- your bank pausing a payment to a store it has not seen before, especially for an international cardholder paying in US dollars;
- a browser extension or content blocker interfering with the payment step.
Check your details, try again, or try a different method shown at checkout. If your bank paused the payment, approving it in your banking app or calling the number on your card usually clears it. If the order still fails, contact us and we will help. Please do not send card details to us by email while you troubleshoot.
Seeing two charges
Sometimes a failed attempt leaves a temporary hold on your account that looks like a charge. These holds are released by your bank. If you believe you were actually charged twice for the same order, email us with your order number and both transaction references, and we will check and refund any duplicate payment to your original payment method.
Keeping your payment safe
The whole of jerseyloft.shop runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, shown by the padlock in your browser’s address bar. Pay only on the checkout page of jerseyloft.shop. A few habits keep your account safe:
- We never ask for a card number, security code, password or one-time code by email.
- Never send payment details in a support email, a ticket or a message, even if someone asks you to.
- If you receive an email or message claiming to be from Jersey Loft that asks for payment details, do not reply. Forward it to support@jerseyloft.shop so we can warn other customers.
- Use a strong, unique password for your My Account login.
How we handle the personal information you give us at checkout is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Checking an order before it goes ahead
Now and then we may email you to confirm a detail before we prepare an order, for example when the billing and shipping details look unusual. If we cannot confirm the order, we cancel it and refund the full amount to your original payment method.
Duties and taxes on international orders
Orders ship from the USA, so parcels to Canada, Australia and New Zealand cross a border. Import duties and taxes depend on the destination country and its rules. If you have a question about a specific order to one of these countries, contact us before you buy and we will help. Our Shipping & Delivery page covers customs timing in more detail.
How refunds and store credit are paid
You have 60 days to return an item for any reason, and change-of-mind returns come with a free return label, including personalised jerseys. There is no restocking fee. Once we receive the return, your refund is issued within 7 days to the original payment method you used at checkout. Your bank or payment provider then decides how quickly the amount appears on your statement.
If you prefer, ask us for store credit instead of a refund. Store credit is available on request and never expires, which suits families who buy a new youth size every season or a player who wants to put the value towards next season’s kit. Full details are in our Refund Policy and the return steps are in our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
Paying for someone else
You can pay for an order that ships to another person, for example a youth jersey sent to grandparents in Canada or a birthday hoodie for a coach at a different US address. Refunds for that order always go back to the payment method used to buy it, not to the recipient. If the recipient wants to return a gift, they can contact us with the order number and we will arrange it with you.
Paying for a group or a team night out
Jersey Loft sells to individuals and families, but a small group can still buy together. A coach collecting jerseys for a five-a-side side, or a parent buying for siblings, can place one order with several items, each with its own size, name and number. One person pays the whole checkout total with one payment method.
Sorting out who owes what
We cannot split one order across several cards or payment accounts. If each player wants to pay for their own shirt, the simplest route is for each of them to place their own order. If one person pays for everyone, the order confirmation email lists every item with its price, which makes it easy to share the cost afterwards.
Refunds on a group order
If one player returns a jersey from a group order, the refund for that item goes back to the payment method that paid for the order, not to the player. Whoever paid then settles up with the group. Store credit can also be issued to the account that placed the order on request.
Receipts and order records
Your order confirmation email is your receipt. It shows the order number, the date, each item with its size and personalisation, any add-ons and the total you paid. You can see the same record at any time in the Orders section of My Account if you ordered with an account. If you need the details resent, for example for a club reimbursement, email us with your order number and we will send them to the address on the order.
Payment questions
Email support@jerseyloft.shop with your order number, if you have one, and a short description of what you see at checkout. We support customers by email only and reply within 24 hours on business days. You can also use the Submit a Ticket page, check an order on Order Tracking, or browse our FAQs. Our full terms are in the Terms of Service.
