Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Jersey Loft collects when you visit jerseyloft.shop or place an order, why we need it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the choices you have. Jersey Loft is located at 70 Cobbleridge Lane, Manorville, NY 11949, US. If anything here is unclear, or you want to make a privacy request, email support@jerseyloft.shop.

A personalised soccer jersey naturally involves a little more information than a plain shirt: the name on the back, a number, perhaps a set of crest initials. We treat those details as part of your order and use them only to make and deliver it.

Privacy in brief

  • We collect what we need to take your order, print your personalisation, deliver your kit and answer your emails.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • Payment card details are entered with the payment provider at checkout; Jersey Loft does not store full card numbers.
  • Photos you email us, for example of a problem with an item, are deleted 30 days after delivery.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing support@jerseyloft.shop.

What we collect from you

When you place an order

To complete a purchase, the checkout asks for your name, email address, billing address and delivery address, plus a phone number if the checkout form requests one. We also keep a record of what you ordered: the products, sizes, colourways, quantities and the price you paid.

Your personalisation details

On our five personalised products, the product page fields collect the text you want printed: the Name on back (up to 12 characters), the Number (0-99), the Lettering colour, the “Number on the sleeve too” choice, and on the Design Your Crest jersey the Crest initials (up to 3 letters) and Crest shape. These details are saved with your order so the item can be produced exactly as typed. Often the name on a jersey is a nickname or a child’s first name; please only enter names you are comfortable having printed and shared with the people who make and deliver the item.

When you create an account

If you register in My Account, we store your login email, a securely stored password, your saved addresses and your order history, so you can check order status and reorder more easily.

When you email us

Support at Jersey Loft runs by email. When you write to us, we keep your message, your email address and anything you attach, such as photos of a faulty print or a parcel that arrived damaged. Customer photos you send us are deleted 30 days after delivery.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, jerseyloft.shop receives technical information when you browse: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, the page that sent you to us, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this comes from cookies, explained further down.

Why we use your information

  • To fulfil your order: processing payment, printing your name, number or crest initials, packing your order and sending it to the address you gave.
  • To keep you updated: order confirmations and status emails, and replies to your questions.
  • To handle changes, returns and refunds: for example, correcting a misspelled name within the 24-hour change window, or issuing a return label within our 60-day return window.
  • To protect the store: spotting fraudulent orders, keeping the site secure and keeping records the law requires.
  • To improve the shop: understanding which pages are useful and where the site could be clearer.
  • To send marketing emails: only if you have agreed or the law allows it. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal bases we rely on are: performing our contract with you (orders, delivery and support), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the store), your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), and legal obligations (accounting and tax records).

Who sees your information

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the store, and only what each one needs to do its job:

Service providers and the information they receive
Type of providerWhat they receiveWhy
Payment provider at checkoutName, billing details, order totalTo take and refund payments securely
Production and fulfilment partnersName, delivery address, product choices and personalisation textTo produce, pack and ship your order
Delivery servicesName, delivery address and parcel detailsTo deliver your order and return labels
Website hosting and email servicesAccount and order data, support emailsTo run the website and our support inbox

These providers may use the information only to deliver their service to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of our customers, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale or merger. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising unless you opt in.

Orders sent as gifts

When you send kit to someone else, we use their name and address only to deliver that order. A parent ordering a Youth M Custom Youth jersey for a 9-year-old’s end-of-season party, delivered to the grandparents’ address in Canada, gives us the grandparents’ details for that delivery and nothing more. We do not add gift recipients to marketing lists.

What we do not ask for

Some information simply is not needed to put your name on the back of a football shirt, so we do not request it:

  • We do not ask for your date of birth, your club, your team or the league you play in.
  • We do not ask for body measurements. Choosing between sizes is done by comparing with a shirt you already own, as our Size Guide explains, not by sending us your measurements.
  • We do not need copies of identity documents to process a normal order, return or refund.
  • We do not need your full card number by email. If anyone ever asks for it in our name, please do not reply and let us know.

If you include extra details in an email, for example that a hoodie and mug are a surprise for a coach’s birthday, we use them only to help with that request.

Marketing emails and how to stop them

Order emails, such as confirmations and replies to your questions, are part of the service and are sent whenever you order or write to us. Marketing emails are different: they are sent only if you have agreed to receive them or where the law allows it. Each one includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed. Unsubscribing does not affect order emails or any return or refund in progress.

Cookies on jerseyloft.shop

Essential cookies keep your cart, checkout and account working. Without them you could not add a Custom Name and Number jersey to your cart or sign in to your account. Other cookies, such as analytics or advertising cookies, are used only where those tools are switched on and, where the law requires it, only after you consent.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. If you block essential cookies, the cart, checkout and account pages will not work properly.

Keeping your details safe

jerseyloft.shop uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to customer information is limited to what is needed to fulfil and support orders, and payments are handled by the payment provider at checkout rather than stored by us. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information, and if a breach affects you we will tell you where the law requires it.

Please help by choosing a strong password for your account and never sharing it. We will never email you asking for your password or card number.

Your rights and how to use them

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong, such as an old address;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • receive a copy in a portable format;
  • object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent you have given;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising.

To make a request, email support@jerseyloft.shop from the address linked to your order or account. We may ask you to confirm details of a recent order so we know the request really comes from you. We reply within 24 hours on business days and complete the request within the time the law allows. Exercising your rights never changes how we treat you as a customer.

Residents of particular places

Customers in US states with their own privacy laws, including California, and in Canada, Australia and New Zealand can use the same email address for any request under their local law. If a request is made by an authorised agent, we may ask for proof of that authority.

Children and youth jerseys

We sell youth jerseys and kids kit sets, but the store is meant to be used by adults. Parents and guardians place the order, and a child’s first name may appear on the back of a youth jersey only because the adult typed it. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Information that crosses borders

Jersey Loft is based in the US and ships from the USA to the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. If you order from outside the US, your information is processed in the US and may also be handled by our service providers in other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will post a notice on the site or email you where appropriate.

Questions about your privacy

Email support@jerseyloft.shop with any privacy question or request. Support is by email only and we reply within 24 hours on business days.
